Apllications of grid computing

Grid computing is being developed and used in all areas which need complex and high end computationally facilities.The most important among these is life sciences which needs to run complex algorithms for gene mapping,molecular mapping and sequence analysis.Some programs which simulate part of the heart can take weeks to run on a normal computer.The other application of grid computing is financial application where while running large data precision is a key.The other key applications of grid computing i will present in my next post will be gaming,how grids are used in governement work adn the key areas of engineering where grid tech is used.
